OVERVIEW:
Location: Bromley Heath
Project: Driveway, side alley and garden transformation
Size: 45 sqm driveway & 45 sqm garden
Colour: Augusta
Our customer came to us looking for a complete refresh of her garden and driveway. Her existing gravel driveway only had space for one car, so we redesigned the layout and installed a brand‑new two‑car resin driveway that instantly improved both practicality and kerb appeal.
To elevate the garden, we updated the fencing and built a bespoke wooden garden structure, adding character and creating a focal point within the space. We also installed a new resin garden path and upgraded the side alley, giving the entire area a clean, cohesive flow.
The transformation created a modern, functional outdoor space that she could enjoy straight away—and our customer was absolutely delighted with the results.
A Before and After
The Job:
Working closely with the client we created a plan to help her ideas come to life. We ensured we met her requirements:
1.
Space: The customer wanted to maximise the available space on her property by replacing her existing one‑car gravel driveway with a redesigned layout that could comfortably accommodate two cars. This was a key priority in the renovation, ensuring the new driveway was both practical and future‑proof.
2.
Updated look: To modernise the front garden and create a more cohesive aesthetic, we introduced a range of stylish upgrades. This included a bespoke wooden post structure, brand‑new fencing, and a resin‑bound driveway that instantly lifted the kerb appeal. We also added a matching resin garden path, tying the whole space together and giving the property a fresh, contemporary feel.
3.
Ease: The customer chose a resin‑bound surface for both the driveway and garden areas to ensure the space would be low‑maintenance and easy to care for. Resin requires minimal upkeep compared to gravel or traditional paving, meaning she can enjoy a clean, tidy, and durable outdoor space without the need for regular weeding, sweeping, or ongoing maintenance.
Solution:
We began by clearing the existing driveway to create the larger footprint needed for two cars. Once the space was opened up, we installed a resin‑bound driveway, followed by a matching resin side alley and garden path to ensure a cohesive, seamless look across the entire front garden.
To elevate the overall aesthetic, we added new fencing and built a wooden post structure, bringing warmth, character, and a modern architectural touch to the space.
Step 1:
After carefully planning and designing the layout with our client our first step was to excavate the original driveway 8 inches down from our finish level, lay a geo textile membrane, and bring in 6 inches of clean type 3 stone. This is the porous sub-base, allowing for a puddle-free driveway and garden path. The pathway was also dug up and created ready for the resin.
Step 2:
The side alley and garden pathway were both laid with matching resin, creating a smooth, continuous transition from the driveway into the garden. To frame and define the space, we installed new fencing around the full perimeter, giving the garden a clean, secure, and modern edge. As a standout feature, we added a bespoke wooden post structure, designed to introduce height, character, and a unique architectural element to the garden. Together, these additions elevated the overall aesthetic, bringing warmth, structure, and a beautifully cohesive finish to the entire renovation
Step 3:
Structural reinforcement mesh is then laid, and then 30mm of VubaMac is installed. This base is incredibly porous and greatly increases the clients warranty. Another layer of SRM is then added on top

Step 4:
Once the base was fully prepared, we applied 18mm of UV‑stable, BBA‑approved resin, carefully trowelled and hand‑smoothed to achieve a flawless, long‑lasting finish. The customer selected the colour ‘Augusta’, which we used across both the driveway and garden areas. This ensured a perfectly cohesive, continuous look, allowing the driveway to flow naturally into the garden. The unified colour choice not only enhanced the overall aesthetic but also created a clean, modern feel that beautifully tied every element of the renovation together.

Results:
This project completely reimagined a tired single‑car driveway and dated front garden, turning it into a modern, practical, and beautifully cohesive outdoor space. The old layout offered limited parking and little visual appeal, so the homeowners opted for a full redesign centred around a premium resin-bound surface.
The new resin driveway now comfortably accommodates two cars instead of one, instantly improving day‑to‑day convenience and boosting kerb appeal. A matching resin garden path ties the whole frontage together, creating a clean, seamless flow from the pavement to the front door.
To frame the space and enhance privacy, new fencing was installed, chosen for both durability and style. The standout feature, though, is a bespoke wooden structure—a unique architectural element that adds warmth, character, and a touch of individuality to the property. Together, these upgrades deliver a balanced blend of practicality and design, transforming the entrance into a welcoming, modern, and highly functional outdoor area.
